Any hour. A person answers.
Locked out of your shop or office in Halifax?
Call or text us. We come at any hour to storefronts, offices and warehouses, confirm you're authorised to go in, and open the door without damage. You get the price before we start.
You approve the price before we start. Not sure it's really us? See who's coming.
Who will a locksmith let into a business?
Only someone who can show they're entitled to be there: the owner, a manager named on the lease, or an employee the owner vouches for by phone. A locksmith who opens a commercial door for anyone is not one you want near your keys.
Open tonight, secure after
A business lockout is usually one of three things: keys left inside, keys gone with someone, or a lock that has quit. We solve the first tonight and tell you plainly what the second or third needs.
Storefronts, offices and warehouses
- Glass and aluminium storefronts. Mostly narrow-stile deadlocks with a cylinder we can open without touching the glass. Near the water, salt air pits those cylinders, and a stiff one is often what turns a normal closing into a lockout.
- Office suites. Lever sets, mortise locks and doors on a master key system. We open your door, not the whole system.
- Warehouses and back doors. Heavy deadbolts, padlocks and hasps in industrial parks like Burnside, plus overhead doors. A jammed overhead door is a garage door job, and we handle those too.
After a storm or an outage
Wind and power cuts cause their own lockouts. A keypad or access reader with no power, an electric strike that holds the door shut, a backup key nobody can find. Tell us what kind of lock it is when you call, and we bring what's needed to open it and get the backup cylinder working.
We confirm you're authorised
Before we open a business, we need photo ID and something that links you to it: a lease, a business card, paperwork in the business name, or the owner confirming by phone. It's the same check that protects your premises from someone else's late-night call.
The price still comes first after hours
Night calls are when businesses get surprised by the bill. You hear the price before we drive out, and you approve it before we start. If the job grows, we stop and ask. Our Price Promise.
Keys walked out with a former employee?
Get in tonight, then rekey so those keys are dead. If you run several doors, a master key system makes the next change easier. Everything else is on our commercial locksmith page.
Questions people ask
- What do I need to show you?
- Photo ID plus something tying you to the business: a lease, a business card, a licence or invoice in the business name, or the owner confirming by phone. If you're staff, keep the owner or manager reachable.
- Can you open a glass storefront door?
- Yes. Aluminium and glass storefronts usually have a narrow-stile deadlock or a mortise lock, and most open without damage. If the cylinder is worn or corroded, we tell you and quote the repair.
- The power went out and our electronic lock won't let us in. Can you help?
- Usually, yes. Many electric strikes and keypads stay locked when the power fails, and the backup key cylinder is often the one nobody has used in years. We open the door and can service that cylinder so it works next time.
- Someone left the company with keys. What now?
- Get in tonight, then rekey so those keys stop working. If you have more than a handful of doors, ask about a master key system so the next change is simpler.
- Our panic bar or closer broke and the door won't lock. Can you secure it tonight?
- In most cases, yes. We secure the door the same night, then repair or replace the panic hardware, including rim cylinders and outside lever trim.
